Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are listed in U.S. dollars and are exclusive of shipping, handling, insurance, applicable sales tax, and any other fees that may apply.

We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time without prior notice. However, any confirmed order will be honored at the price in effect at the time of purchase.

For international orders, additional customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, value-added taxes (VAT), or other charges may be imposed by the destination country. These fees are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and are not included in the purchase price or shipping costs.

 

Orders & Payment

All orders are subject to acceptance, verification, and availability.

Full payment is required before any order is processed, packaged, or shipped. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Pricing or typographical errors
• Product description inaccuracies
• Suspected fraudulent activity
• Payment processing issues
• Unforeseen inventory or availability concerns

Should an order be canceled after payment has been received, a full refund will be issued to the original method of payment.

 

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping charges are calculated separately and will be provided during checkout or upon request.

Every artwork and object is professionally packed with care and attention to ensure safe transit. While we work with trusted carriers and shipping partners, delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed.

Open Fields Gallery + Studio is not responsible for delays resulting from weather events, carrier disruptions, customs inspections, labor disputes, natural disasters, or any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Risk of loss and title transfer to the purchaser upon delivery to the shipping address provided at checkout.

 

Holds & Reservations

Because many of the works offered through our gallery are original, unique, or limited in availability, we are unable to place items on hold or reserve artwork without prior written agreement.

All purchases are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is not guaranteed until payment has been received and the order has been confirmed.

 

Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations

Original Artwork

All sales of original artwork, vintage objects, limited editions, and collectible works are final.

Due to the unique nature of these items and the complexities associated with handling, transportation, and conservation, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds except where required by law.

We strongly encourage collectors to review all descriptions, dimensions, photographs, and condition information carefully before completing a purchase.

Merchandise & Non-Art Items

Returns for eligible merchandise may be requested within fourteen (14) days of the original purchase date.

Returned items must be unused, undamaged, and returned in their original packaging. Approved returns will receive store credit only. Refunds are not provided.

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase for a full refund, provided the item has not already been prepared for shipment.

Once processing, packing, or shipping has begun, cancellation requests may not be honored.

 

Condition & Representation

We make every effort to accurately represent the artwork, objects, and products offered through our gallery.

Photographs, descriptions, dimensions, and condition reports are provided in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. However, slight variations in color, texture, scale, or appearance may occur due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, photographic limitations, and the handmade nature of many works.

Such variations do not constitute defects and are not grounds for return or refund. Additional photographs and condition information are available upon request prior to purchase.

Disclaimer of Warranties

All items are sold as-is. Open Fields Gallery + Studio makes no express or implied warranties or representations regarding the condition of any artwork or object offered for sale.

Any statements, whether written or verbal, are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute a warranty. Condition issues visible in photographs may not be specifically noted in the item description.

 

Artwork Care

Many works offered through Open Fields Gallery + Studio are created using natural, handcrafted, vintage, or delicate materials that require thoughtful care.

To preserve the integrity and longevity of your artwork, we recommend:

• Avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
• Maintaining stable humidity and temperature levels
• Keeping artwork away from excessive moisture
• Dusting gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth
• Handling framed and unframed works with care

Specific care instructions may vary by medium and artist. We are happy to provide additional guidance upon request.

 

Intellectual Property & Copyright

All content displayed on this website, including but not limited to artwork images, photography, graphics, logos, text, written content, design elements, and website materials, is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

The purchase of an artwork does not transfer copyright, licensing rights, reproduction rights, or any other intellectual property rights associated with the work.

All rights, including reproduction, publication, distribution, display, licensing, and the creation of derivative works, remain the property of Open Fields Gallery + Studio and/or the respective artist unless otherwise agreed in writing.

No content from this website may be copied, reproduced, published, transmitted, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Open Fields Gallery + Studio, its owners, affiliates, artists, employees, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to the purchase, ownership, transportation, installation, display, or use of any artwork or product.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific item giving rise to the claim.

 

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from the use of this website or the purchase of artwork shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
